1. Quadruple Cane Tip User Instruction
Important warning: Consult your physician or physical therapist for proper use of this product.
For your knowledge: Please note that the Quadruple Cane Tip is not intended for use on ice, snow, or in other slippery conditions. This product contains natural rubber – Latex which may cause allergic reactions.
How to assemble replace a regular tip to Quadruple Cane Tip?
1) Remove original tip and replace it with Quadruple Cane Tip
2) Try taking a few steps using the cane to ensure the product is properly installed and securely fitted to your cane. Refer to size chart on the back of the manual for proper fitting.
3) Avoid walking with two walking canes or on slippery surfaces for your safety.
4) Do not purchase cane tip size that is larger or smaller than measured size of your cane.
Fashion Offset Cane User Instruction
Important warning: Consult your physician or physical therapist for proper use of this product. Sky Med Brand Fashion Offset Cane is suggested to be used by cane users with or within 300 lbs. Replace cane tips and grips every six months to ensure the safety of the cane.
For your information: Please note that most of walking canes are designed to be used in compensating injury leg or improving balance not to be used in facilities total body weight. Do not use two canes to walk.
How to adjust a cane?
1) Loosen cane sleeve clockwise to adjust the cane. It is suggested that the grip of your cane line up with the crease in your wrist for a proper fit.
2) Press the push button to lengthen or shorten the cane to appropriate height.
3) When the cane is adjusted at appropriate height, please ensure the push button is pop into setting and securely engaged.
4) Tighten cane sleeve counterclockwise after adjustments are made.
How to walk with a cane?
1) Use the cane from the opposite site of the injured or weaker leg.
2) Start walking with your good leg in front, and place the cane forward to form three points of a triangle. Your injured or weaker leg should line up with the cane.
3) Move the good leg forward to begin walking and maintain the triangular position when walking. Make sure cane tip is placed firmly on the ground.
4) Walk slowly, taking short, steady steps to maintain balance and use the cane properly. Your physician or physical therapist might recommend a specific pattern accordingly to your needs. It is suggested to always consult with your physician or therapist for proper use of the cane.
